Formulate a refined service plan for farmers

Recently, Shijiazhuang Ecological and Agrometeorological Center of Hebei Province organized technicians to go to Hirayama Hongrun Ecological Park and Luancheng Su Yuan to investigate the growth status of cherry in greenhouse, formulate a refined meteorological plan, and provide high-quality meteorological services for farmers.

In the cherry greenhouse, a fiery busy scene, the fruit tree administrator is pollinating the cherry trees full of flowers. At present, the cherry in the greenhouse in Hongrun Ecological Park is in full bloom, but in Su Yuan, Luancheng, there are only leaves but no flowers. According to different situations, technicians give solutions. Through face-to-face communication with growers, the staff of the Municipal Ecological and Agrometeorological Center learned in detail the demand for meteorological services in different growth stages of greenhouse cherries, and put forward feasible prevention suggestions for the disaster risks that may be caused by strong winds and cold waves.

"The greenhouse is most afraid of snow and windy weather. Thanks to the municipal meteorological department, we sent the weather forecast and early warning information in time. When we learned that it was going to snow, we rolled up the insulation quilt in advance and put it down in time after the snow stopped, which not only avoided the damage of the greenhouse, but also ensured the temperature and humidity conditions needed for cherry flowering," said Liu Baosuo, a fruit tree administrator happily. It is understood that due to the continuous low temperature at the end of last year, the cherry tree bloomed late this year. It is expected that the cherry will mature in late April and be picked and listed half a month later than in previous years.

At present, Shijiazhuang is in a warm and cold period, and the temperature fluctuates greatly. Next, the Municipal Ecological and Agrometeorological Center will formulate a refined meteorological service plan according to the demand of cherry planting, and provide meteorological services for protected fruit trees in an all-round way to help growers increase production and income.
